Nepal is a country with distinctive and varying nature and landscape. The country has everything from lush jungles in the lowlands to snow-covered mountain peaks such as Mount Everest at a height of almost 9,000 metres. The population is poor but incredibly friendly and welcoming. Most are Hindus, but there are also many Buddhists.
